My child does not speak any French. Can they still attend Ma Première École?
Absolutely!
Many of our children join us with little or no French. Through our immersive environment, children naturally acquire the language through play, songs, stories, arts and crafts, daily routines, and interactions with their teachers and peers.
Most English-speaking children adapt very quickly and develop a strong understanding of French within a few months.
What age can my child start at Ma Première École?
We welcome children from 18 months to 6 years old.
We offer two groups:
• Toddlers (18 months to 2.5 years)
• Preschoolers (2.5 to 6 years)
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No.
Children are welcome to join our program even if they are still in diapers. Our educators support each child at their own pace throughout the potty-training process.
Are you open year-round?
Yes.
Ma Première École operates throughout the year and offers:
• Our regular school-year program
• Summer Camps in July and August
• March Break Camp
Do you offer part-time enrolment?
Yes, depending on availability.
We offer both full-time and part-time options.
As spaces are limited, we encourage families to contact us to learn about current availability.
Are meals provided?
Yes.
During the school year, nutritious meals and snacks are included.
During Summer Camp and March Break Camp, children bring their own lunch and snacks.
Do the children go outside every day?
Yes.
Outdoor learning is an important part of our educational philosophy.
Children enjoy daily visits to local parks and benefit from our unique location just a short walk from the beach, providing opportunities to explore, move, and learn in a natural environment.
We also offer our Green School Program, during which children spend a full day outdoors each week. Through nature-based activities and hands-on exploration, they develop independence, curiosity, confidence, and a deeper connection with the natural world.
Even during the winter months, we prioritize outdoor play whenever weather conditions allow.
Do you offer school tours?
Yes.
We offer individual tours by appointment so families can visit our school, meet our team, and learn more about our programs and philosophy.
Do you have a waitlist?
Yes.
Some programs regularly have a waitlist, particularly for younger children.
We recommend completing our pre-registration form as early as possible to secure a place on the waitlist.
How can I find out if a space is available?

Do you accept children with allergies or medical needs?
Yes.
We work closely with families to create individualized plans for children with food allergies, asthma, or other medical needs.

How does the transition process work for new children?
Every child is unique.
We work closely with families to ensure a smooth and positive transition. Depending on the child’s age and individual needs, a gradual transition schedule may be arranged.
Our goal is for every child to feel safe, confident, and happy at school.
Will my child be prepared to continue in a French or bilingual education program after Ma Première École?
Yes.
Our program provides an excellent foundation for children who wish to continue their education in French Immersion, French-language schools, or bilingual programs.
Many of our graduates successfully transition into these educational pathways.
Do you have partnerships with other French-language schools?
Yes.
